Junior college N.S.S. Committee has conducted following activities in the academic year 2016-17:
In the month of August, NSS volunteers helped Sobati Institute by selling Rakhis made by blind and disabled students for Rakhi Pornima.
On 22nd August, a Drawing and Essay writing competition was held as part of the ‘Dengue Awareness Drive.’
On 18th Sept 2016, volunteers attended Nisarg Mela at Manpada Nisarg Parichay Kendra, Thane, organized by Paryavaran Dakshata Mandal.
On the same day, students participated in various competitions and won prizes.
1st in Nature Photography, 2nd in Quiz, 2nd and 3rd in Street Play (Commerce & Arts students respectively).
All competitions were based on environmental protection themes. Students also gave PowerPoint presentations.
On 2nd Oct 2016, 20 volunteers attended ‘Nisarg Mela’ at Manpada. On Education Day (11th Nov 2016), a rally was held in honor of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
